Local artist Carol Morris who will give a presentation on the process of creating altered books as well help you create your own. 

Altered books is an art form where discarded books are turned into art objects by painting, collaging, cutting, and tearing.  Artists can choose themes or one may emerge while doing the process. 

Please bring a book to alter (hard-bounds are best) however some discarded books will be available at the workshop if needed. Also bring any personal photos, images, fragments that can embellish your book. Art supplies will be available at the workshop such as water colors, pens, glue sticks, and scissors.
