Experience Star Wars: A New Hope (Ojibwe dubbed) like never before at a special screening at the Downtown Library.
This recently dubbed version of the 1977 classic film (a collaborative project between Lucasfilm, the Dakota Ojibway Tribal Council, APTN and the University of Manitoba), brought together talented multigenerational Anishinaabe speakers and voice actors to bring it to life with the goal of revitalizing the Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) language and making it more accessible to young people.
Whether you’re a lifelong Star Wars fan or discovering the saga for the first time, this is a unique opportunity to hear the Star Wars galaxy come to life in Anishinaabemowin.
This 121-minute film is rated PG.
