DESCRIPTION:\nMatthaei Botanical Gardens hosts free guided nature walks on 
 select Wednesdays and Sundays.\n\n\n\nWalks are designed for all ages. If 
 there is a large mixed-age group they may split into two sets to offer dif
 ferent levels of engagement. Adults must stay with their children.\n\n\n\n
 No registration required. They recommend gathering 10 min early in the lob
 by of the Gardens.\n\n\n\nWalk with Natural Areas staff through rich and d
 iverse ecosystems that host the elusive Massasauga rattlesnake\, a species
  delicately balanced between survival and vulnerability. &nbsp\;Learn abou
 t the intricate life history of the Massasauga\, including its unique adap
 tations and its vital role in the ecosystem. Our guided walk emphasizes th
 e importance of habitat protection and stewardship\, offering insights int
 o conservation efforts aimed at preserving these fragile environments. Clo
