In this profusely illustrated talk, local freshwater ecologist Dave Strayer will describe the rich and imperiled life of the world’s inland waters, and discuss how we can best preserve these ecosystems and species for future generations. The talk will draw from his recent book, Beyond the Sea: The Hidden Life in Lakes, Streams, and Wetlands, and should interest anyone who likes to fish, swim, boat, watch birds, or sit by the shore, or who is interested in biodiversity and its conservation.
This event includes a signing with books for sale.
For teens & adults. Hled in Lower Level Program Room.
