The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra opens its 24/25 Pops season in style with a celebration of one of the silver screen’s most legendary composers. From GRAMMY awards to box office-topping successes, John Williams’ epic scores to Star Wars, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Harry Potter, and more have established Williams as a cultural icon.

Acclaimed American conductor and actor Damon Gupton (Whiplash, La La Land, Criminal Minds, Prime Suspect) leads the concert as guest artist in this epic program at the Michigan Theater.

The program includes pieces from popular movies including:

• Superman March from Superman (1998)
• Suite for Orchestra from Jaws (1975)
• Theme from Jurassic Park (1993)
• Three Pieces for Violin & Orchestra from Schindler’s List (1993)
• Suite for Orchestra from Star Wars (1977)
• “Harry’s Wondrous World” from Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001)
• Olympic Fanfare & Theme (1984)
• and more…

There are two shows – Saturday, October 19 at 8p and Sunday, October 20 at 3p.

Youth/Student tickets are half-price.

Ticket price bands are:

• A – $75/$37.50
• B – $60/$30
• C – $45/$22.50
• D – $25/$12.50
