Immerse yourself in the vibrant cultural tapestry of Japan with the Sakura “Cherry Blossom” Japanese Instrumental Group. Experience the enchanting world of the Shishimai Lion dance, a traditional folk art passed down through generations, which brings the magic of Japanese folklore to life.
The presentation will also feature the Shodo calligraphy artist, Kyoko Fujii, who will create traditional Japanese calligraphy using an extraordinarily large-sized washi paper and brush, accompanied by traditional festival music. Conclude the show with a summer celebration Bon Dance. Simple moves will be demonstrated that can be performed standing or sitting to the festive beats of drums.
Event will be held in the 1st floor lobby. For Grades K-Adult
