The Thunder Over Michigan Air Show is July 17-19, 2026 at Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti, MI.

They are using the new format introduced in 2025 with a single show each day. However, this year they move the air performance from mid-day to an evening show at the Michigan Flight Museum (Formerly Yankee Air Museum) air show.

The grounds open at 3p on Friday, Saturday and Sunday day with the air show starting at 6:30p. Gates close at 10p.

Show vehicles are subject to change. They may be limited to maintenance, weather and other restrictions.

Tickets for Thunder Over Michigan Air Show

Last year ticket pricing was per vehicle. This year, they have several ticket options:

• Drive-Up Tailgate Parking – $185-245 (includes admission for those in vehicle)
• Bomber Club – $70+/Adult, $39+/ages 5-15 – includes tent access, non-alcoholic beverages, portable washrooms, outdoor seating.
• Fighter Club – $186.40/ages 16+, $91.62/ages 5-15 – includes tent access, catered bbq dinner, non-alcoholic beverages & beer, portable washrooms, outdoor seating, and more
• Officers Club – $302.22/Adult, $18.40 ages 5-15 – includes tent, prime seats, grilled entree, afternoon ice cream sundaes, snacks, premium beverages.

Note: prices may go up as they sell out. Prices were added on 6/12.

Tips for Thunder Over Michigan Air Show

1 – Purchase your tickets early. Tickets can sell out and prices will go up as it gets closer

2 – Bring Chairs. If you have Drive-Up Tailgate Tickets, you will probably want chairs. This way you can watch the show from outside instead of in your car.

3 – Food is available for purchase from food trucks. You can bring food and non-alcoholic beverages to stay in the blue and white zones, but not on the ramps. Fighter & Officers Club tickets include food.

4 – Sun protection. If it is a sunny day, be sure to come prepared with sunscreen and water. Large umbrellas are not allowed. Portable awnings and tents are also not allowed.

5 – Make time to visit the Kids Adventure Zone with The Hands-On Hangar (for kids 10 & under), The Exploration Station for STEAM activities, and The Bounce House Bay

6 – Public Portable restrooms and sanitation stations will be available near the static displays.
