Chelsea’s Timbertown

Chelsea’s Timbertown Playground is a large wooden playground that includes mini-versions of Chelsea landmarks. This extensive structure is accessible. It also has numerous challenges like cargo nets, bouldering wall, and more. The tot lot is partially fenced.

Timbertown Description

Chelsea’s Timbertown playground features a “wooden” village that includes many Chelsea landmarks. The main structure features an accessible entry ramp from the parking lot. It was recently redone replacing much of the original timber with a plastic timber. The upgrade also added rubber surfaces to make more parts of the play structure accessible.

The structure features many Chelsea area landmarks. I saw the Jiffy Factory, the clock tower, Heydlauffs, Chelsea State Bank, Chelsea Lumber, and more.

The tot lot is partially fenced which helps contain wandering toddlers and preschoolers. The tot lot includes its own swings, and a small structure with slides and a barn featuring the Chelsea Fair logo. There are a couple of bouncers, tunnels to crawl through and more,

Attached to the back of the large play structures are various monkey bars, a climber, and more. Timbertown is a great imaginary playground. But, with relatively low slides, stairs, and even short monkey bars, it is better for younger kids.
